Ward was born in MonroeLouisianaon April 15,1976. Monroe Christian School is a exclusively Christian private school for children of all ages. Ward was a student at Ouachita high school in the parish for secondary education. After that, she attended River Oaks High School the season following her senior year. A short time after her graduation, she enrolled at Northeast Louisiana University. Ward started modeling at the age of thirteen. She left school to move in New York. A few years later, she decided to also try her hand at acting. In the 1970s, she played an uncredited character in All My Children. A year later she was cast for the NBC primetime teen drama Malibu Shores. She landed the role of Meg Cummings, a virgin on Sunset Beach in 1996.
